Eugene A. Rosa is the Boeing Distinguished Professor of Environmental Sociology, Edward R. Meyer Distinguished Professor of Natural Resource and Environmental Policy in the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service, and professor of sociology at Washington State University, and is currently a visiting scholar at the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to the fields of technological and environmental risk, to the human dimensions of global environmental change and challenges to sustainability, and to science policy.
